Welder: Occupational Qualification Certificate

    This qualification is a listed trade qualification and falls within the Occupational Qualifications Framework of the NQF of South Africa.

    • Install Insulation Applications to Various Systems and/or Components within Various

    • Occupancy Classes

    • Select, Care and Use Tools and Equipment

    • Perform Overall Quality Checks on Insulated Installations

    This is a 1-year programme.

    Minimum Admission Requirements:

    Grade 10 with mathematical literacy.

  • A qualified student will be able to:

    • Interpret drawings and develop patterns and templates

    • Erect and assemble plate and pipe components and structures

  • Duration:

    This is a 3-year programme.

    Minimum Admission Requirements:

    Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
