Convey of Dangerous Goods

  • The purpose of learning is to ensure safe loading, conveying and off-loading of Dangerous Goods according to legal and organisational requirements. Credited learners can convey Dangerous Goods in accordance with legal, safety, manufacturer and other relevant requirements and handle incidents safely when they occur.

    2 Days (Theory and Practical Exposure)

    IRT Training Entry Requirements:

    NQF level 2 communication (language) and mathematics (numeracy skills) and Communication competence.

Operate Counterbalance Lift-Truck (Forklift)

  • Operators must engage in thorough training to grasp correct operation, load handling, and safety protocols. Regular inspections, strict compliance with safety guidelines, including the use of safety gear, and maintaining constant situational awareness play a vital role in forklift accidents prevention.

  • Duration:

    • 5 Day Novice (Theory and Practical Exposure)

    • 1 Day Refresher (Theory and Practical Exposure)

Operate a Telescopic Boom Handler 

  • A telescopic handler, or telehandler, is a hydraulic lifting machine used to carry and place heavy materials. Sometimes called boom lifts, they move loads with a crane-like tool called a boom. Operators fix attachments to the end of their boom to hold different materials.

    • 5 Day Novice (Theory and Practical Exposure)

    • 1 Day Refresher (Theory and Practical Exposure)
